There are many reasons you may want a written appraisal of your pianos value. You may want one when securing a rider on your insurance policy, insuring the instrument for a move, or before placing it in storage.
When selling your piano, a written appraisal will provide a solid basis for setting your price and negotiating with potential purchasers.
When an appraisal is done, the piano will recieve a complete inspection, the year of manufacture will be determined, and the piano will be tuned. Tuning is an important aspect of appraising as it is one of the best methods for determining a number of points of information about the piano. For example, the potential of an instrument to hold tune, the condition of the strings, the tone of the instrument, and many other items.
Once the on-site work is done, you will recieve a written appraisal sheet within 2 weeks from the date of the appraisal.
